We are on a mission to bring old world Indian authentic to US shores.
Born and raised in Nagpur, the geographical center of India, we grew up relishing Varhadi cuisine, in and around Central India. We have always longed for that authentic Indian cuisine here in the States, and this desire led us to start preparing some of our favorite recipes. Saoji cuisine is native to the weaver community of central India. It is known for its hot and spicy non-vegetarian delicacies. It took us a couple of years to recreate the taste, and our friends helped us fine tune it. We aim to bring back the old-world cooking styles, and serve up fresh cooked food to your doorsteps, without compromising on quality at our Indian restaurant and bar in Iselin.
We have been listening to our customers and have expanded our menu to include the best dishes from Maharashtra, Goa and North India. If you happen to be in one of our 2 locations (Iselin and Voorhees) for dine-in, we would love to catch up with you, serving the perfect flavors of Maharashtrian cuisne, Goan cuisine, Indian seafood, and the Saoji cuisine in the heart of USA!

From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by the warm aroma of authentic spices, a promise of the culinary adventure that awaits. The menu showcases the soul of Indian cuisine with a diverse range of delicacies prepared using time-honored recipes. The pomfret fry, golden and perfectly crisp, is a standout—each bite rich with coastal flavors. The shrimp masala, simmered in a fragrant gravy, offers a perfect blend of spice and freshness, while the Saoji mutton, a fiery delicacy from Nagpur, brings a bold, robust punch that true spice lovers will appreciate. For a lighter yet flavorful option, try their spicy misal, just like the ones from Mumbai—a fiery burst of flavors that pairs perfectly with the soft pav. The sabudana vada, crispy on the outside and soft within, is a must-try for breakfast or as a snack. And if you're a fan of seafood, don’t miss the fish curry, where delicate pieces of fish are cooked in a tangy, spicy gravy that will remind you of coastal home-cooked meals. If you're in the mood for something different, the momos, steamed to perfection and served with a spicy dipping sauce, are a delightful surprise that adds a fusion twist to their menu. And, of course, no Indian feast is complete without their signature biryani, where every grain of rice is infused with the essence of authentic Indian spices. It’s not just the food that makes this place exceptional—the cocktails elevate the experience to another level. Their old fashioned is a beautifully balanced classic, while the coconut cocktail is a tropical delight, offering a refreshing twist that pairs perfectly with the bold Indian flavors. The bar takes pride in its craft, delivering drinks that are as memorable as the food. The bartender is a gem, creating perfect drinks every time. The attentive staff and warm ambiance make every visit special. Whether it’s a social gathering or a desi party, the vibe is always lively and inviting. Honestly, we just can’t get enough and keep coming back for more! This restaurant is more than just a place to eat—it’s a celebration of genuine Indian flavors, served with passion and pride. Highly recommended for anyone seeking an authentic, vibrant experience of India! Neha Kumarley2025-01-13Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Soul food❤️ Great taste. We ordered veg tandoori Momos, Shegaon Kachori, Surmai and Saoji kothimbir vadi( pudachi vadi) for appetizers. Each appetizer was delicious and we finished it in no time. The pudachi vadi was something we tasted first time , it was like a spring roll filled with coriander, very delicious. Then we ordered saoji patodi rassa (curry) and malvani chicken curry along with jowar bhakris and solkadi. My family just loved the flavors. I do recommend this place if you want to enjoy some delicious nagpuri flavors along with malvani dishes. I have also tried their saoji chicken and vada pav in the past and loved those too.My sister had misal pav and liked it too.
